Render Cleaning
K Rend Algae Clean removes red green and black staining on K Rend
and similar renders. Rejuvenating the render to a like new condition
K Rend that is initial applied to a wall looks great but over time pollutants start to build up on the surface of the render. This staining can be on all of the property or just the sides which takes the worst of the weather and are normally brightly coloured red green or
black. These unsightly marks spoil the aesthetics of the building but over the long term may damage the render.
The render can be treated using our professional softwash products which are fully approved by both the Irish Pesticides Registration & Control Service (PCS) and UK
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) for use as a softwashing biocide in Ireland and the UK also it's fully compliant with the EU "REACH" (Registration, Evaluation,
Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals) regulations for cleaning exterior hard surfaces.

exterior surface over time but the application of the Softwash product can eradicate almost all of the staining.

Cleaning & Treating the biofilm with a Softwash System
System 1) A hypochlorite based softwash biocide which at 5:1-10:1 dilution is classed by the EU, PCD and HSE as non corrosive or hazardous to people or the environment.
This solution contains no acids or solvents does not bio-accumulate and the surfactant is fully biodegradable and after use it quickly breaks down into tiny amounts of ordinary
salt and water

The products active ingredient is recommended for the cleaning of – render and cladding – of industry-leading companies such as K Rend, Weber and Kingspan Cladding.
System Application How to clean Render Walls
System 1: The hypochlorite solution is sprayed onto the wall and then left for 30-60 minutes before being rinsed of. It may require more than 1 treatment to bring the walls up to
an acceptable standard. The final step of the process is to treat the wall with the inhibitor solution. Results are normally seen within 3-72 hours of application.
The process is completed with a maintenance application of Benz Bio Cleanse or Algoclear Pro which will continue to protect the area for a further 12 months.

dry. This system can take up to 1 year to fully clean but some noticeable difference should be seen within a few months.

High Pressure washing can damage natural stone or cast stone and is best avoided Softwashing is the preferred method for cleaning Natural Stone but super-heated water at very low pressure can also be used.
The Softwash system we use can not only clean the stone but can have residual benefits.
